BMX Racing is an Olympic sport and has been ever since it was introduced at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. In 2021, South Region rider Bethany Shriever became Britain's first gold medalist in the sport moments after Kye Whyte, another South Region rider, had won the first ever British medal in the sport (Silver in the Mens event). Here are some of our riders meeting Beth at the British Championships in August of that year.
BMX is extremely family friendly. Indeed, at Andover BMX Club we have many inter-generational members. It is certainly not unheard of for grandparents to be on the track from time to time.
