Update 4th May ..

New Website + New Logo..
Its early days , but we have decided that its about time Our Website has a complete Overhaul ! Eugene from the Club has some great Ideas to really bring the site up to date. We have struggled in the past to put up photos + Video, so this should change and Make the Andover BMX site one of the best in the UK !…. Along with this we are working on a nice new logo.. All top secret stuff at the Moment, all we can say is the logo will be lime Green on Black !! Should have some cool Hoodies + T-shirts coming along too..

We have changed our Start gate practice night to THURSDAYS
We feel this is a better day ( Bit closer to the weekend , when we are off racing ) .. We may do the odd , Practice session on a Saturday, again if we are not away racing !

Gate should be up and Running as soon as we finish work and can get to the Track, about 6.30pm…. Members £ 3.00 / Non members £4.00… We should be in a position to do general coaching aswell soon.. Some come over on a Thursday night and say Hello..

Vigo Road (Andover Sports Promotion day ) Saturday 5th July..
This is a big event organised by Test Valley Council. Its to promote all sports, and we have been invited along to take a stand and represent BMX racing … If you could put the date in your diary, and closer to the time, we would like as many Riders as possible to help man the stand and Promote the club /BMX racing in general …

Big thanks to all the riders and Officials at our last race meeting on the 13th April.. It was round 2 of the South regional series, and we had over 180 riders racing !!
We have difficulty posting photos on here, but we have some pics up on our Facebook page, and if you look on www.bmxtalk.com and wwwradbmx.com you will see a whole load of great shots.. The start gate is now finished and in position .. And even if I do say so myself It looks great. Big thanks to my Boss Andy Downs at Bodytech in Salisbury for letting me use the facilties in giving it a cool black and orange paintjob!! Gate practice most Saturdays from 1pm onwards, subject to weather. £3.00 Members £4.00 Non Members to cover cost of fuel in the generator.

Talking about members. We have noticed one or two riders have been listed as riding for Andover but have not renewed club membership, we don’t want to name and shame but can all riders please complete and return the membership to Shelia Bennett ASAP!

I can’t wait for the 2008 race season to kick off. The National and Regional rounds have been posted in our News section. Here are the South regional rounds, and as you can see we have our first Andover round on the 13th April. We are looking to secure a Exciting new sponsor for this event , watch this space !!

South Champs: Herne Bay 28th Sept Qualification for Brits 5 from 8 races.

5 from 8 for trophy and end of series ranking.

Note: novices will be included in the rankings and top 3 in each novice class at end of series will receive a trophy if they have done 5 events from 8

We should be hearing very soon if we are successful with the various grants and funding we have been busy chasing. We are 99% sure that Test Valley Council have agreed to re-surface the area behind the start gate which is great as this can drag mud on to the start hill.

Paul Bennett has drawn up a new great track design.. This is all subject to us getting the funds to do the work and we really want to tarmac the berms at the same time (which costs a fortune!) If we do get a budget, any Track mods we do this year will have to be minor, as we dont want to close the track down…

Nice to see many new members joining up. Both Paul Bennett and myself have started our British Cycling Coaching course and we will soon be officially able to coach and give advice at the track and get the Andover riders New and Old in good shape and improving lap times.

Dont forget Start gate practice on Thursday nights from 6.30pm onwards. Make sure you come and say hello, we dont bite! We will have membership forms on hand if you want to join the club.
